A multi-hyphenate artist ready to use her Superpower of Storytelling to change perspectives and fight evil!
As a middle child in sunny Southern California, Jacqueline Vellandi (she/her) first discovered her love for acting at four-years-old as her own secret superpower: Turning on some tears made it so much easier to get her siblings in trouble! While she’s never lost that sense of play, Jacqueline has since matured into a passionate storyteller ready to push every audience member into considering a new perspective. She attended the Orange County School of the Arts through high school and credits her training and performance opportunities at South Coast Repertory with
sharpening her artistic voice and acting skills. Jacqueline is a classicaly trained singer with an album of original music available wherever you get your music under Paper Dolls by JackiLove.
She is a published playwright and dedicated author - constantly producing her own work.
Jacqueline graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2026 with a BFA in Theatre.
Based in LA with lots of couch options in NY!
Jacqueline Vellandi is a Meisner-trained actor most drawn to dark and comedic work on screen and stage. She draws inspiration from shows like Yellowjackets, The Testaments, and Umbrella Academy. She sees herself in actresses like a young Kristen Bell, Christina Ricci, and Anna Kendrick.
Her dream roles include:
Marcus Andronicus in Titus Andronicus
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
Directed by Cory Hippolyte
Jacqueline Vellandi's writing centers on the absurd and ominous as an exploration of the female experience.
She prioritizes collaboration and inclusivity when creating fictional characters and real life teams.

Twenty years before Bram Stoker buried her alive with Dracula, Sheridan Le Fanu gave us Carmilla - the world’s first vampire novel and asked us to consider what it truly means to be “a monster.”
In this new musical adaptation with a script by Jacqueline Vellandi and music/lyrics by Meg Moynahan, there was a lonely girl in a castle, and her father. There was... a monster, a lover, a fiend, and a friend. She lived off the souls of the innocent. When the sun sinks and the candles are all blown out, can you sometimes feel the memory of her presence? A draft in the hall with no windows open. The feeling of being watched from somewhere in the shadows. And sometimes, when you are entirely alone, can you hear the faintest footsteps at the base of your bed? Closer. Closer. To gift you her sweet bite.

"It was playful, whimsical and deeply moving... It feels very organic. A powerful and hugely relevant piece of writing." - Annie Weisman (Playwrights Project)

“The Night We Danced" is a dystopian tale of a community divided in two. Community with neighbors is strictly forbidden when a boy and girl from opposite sides of the world form connection in spite of their enforced differences. This play examines the overcoming power of connection and the fatal danger of silence breeding the repetition of dark histories.
